Margaret Hirsch recently launched her latest cook book Living the Modern Vegetarian Life with a cooking demonstration.
To give visitors a flavour of the book, Margaret prepared several recipes, together with Ramola Makan, who helped start Hirsch’s first microwave cookery schools in the 1980s.
Halfway through the demonstration, Deena Naidoo (now the official and first winner of Master Chef SA) arrived on the stage to help with the cooking.
Deena, who cooked over 30 different meals throughout the competition, kept KZN viewers on the edge of their seats. “We are all so proud to have a KZN winner,” said Sarah Brauns from Hirsch’s Hillcrest.
