Changes to the N3

Do you know that there is a proposed project by SANRAL to change the route of the N3 from Key Ridge to cut across the edge of Peacevale and Drummond with a viaduct and reconnect with the existing N3 at Hammersdale?

To view the proposed route, scroll down…

“We all realise the steepness and angle of Key Ridge is the cause of many accidents,” says Julie Knatten, chairperson of the Western Rural Community Forum, “but the changed route will affect many of our properties and change the country feel that we all appreciate here.”

The Western Rural Community Forum, which represents the ratepayers of Drummond, Peacevale, Inchanga and Monteseel, is holding a community meeting where people can find out more and air their views, and will then be meeting with the project managers on Tuesday 29 May.

If you’d like to get involved, make sure you go to Linga Longa in Drummond this Saturday, 26 May 2012, at 9am.

Terratest, who will conduct the Environment Impact Assessment for this project, is holding an open session on Tuesday 29 May 2012, from 3pm to 7pm, also at Linga Longa in Drummond.

All are welcome.
